Arthur Leclerc leaving Ferrari Driver Academy in shake-up for 2024
F2 driver Arthur Leclerc, brother of Ferrari’s F1 star Charles, is set to leave the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA.)
Multiple F1 teams have driver programmes now, and Ferrari’s is one of the most established with a host of top young drivers on their books, all looking to break into the pinnacle of motorsport.
Indeed, the likes of Mick Schumacher, and Charles Leclerc of course, have come through to drive in F1 lately, and a certain prestige comes with having the Ferrari badge on your driver attire when competing in the junior series’.
For the younger Leclerc, though, his time associated with Ferrari, at least for the time being, is coming to an end – as the latest shake-up of the FDA takes place.
Indeed, James Wharton, who won the UAE Formula 4 championship in February is also moving on, whilst the likes of Ollie Bearman and Dino Beganovic are staying – the latter being set the target to challenge for the F3 title in 2024.
Elsewhere, Formula Regional racers Rafael Camara and Maya Weug, plus Formula 4 pair Tuukka Taponen and Aurelia Nobels, complete the six-driver FDA squad for 2024.
