Yamaha rebuild continues in bid to keep Fabio Quartararo
Yamaha have signed two Ducati engineers as they rebuild their team and bid to keep Fabio Quartararo on one of their bikes.
Massimo Bartolini has left his role as a Vehicle Performance Engineer at Ducati to become Yamaha’s new technical director, with him following Marco Nicotra in the same direction, as he left Ducati to become Yamaha’s Head of Aerodynamics in October.
These big changes are all with the will to keep Quartararo within the team, and to convince him that Yamaha is still the place to be for him to earn further success in the sport.
The 2021 MotoGP champion sees his contract expire at the end of the upcoming 2024 season and the team is all too aware that he will be looking to move on from the team if they do not improve their performances.
A big year awaits, then, and it’ll be fascinating to see how these changes impact things for the team.
